2016-17 Marine bird pSPAs consultation

What is it: 

The layers below have been added to the National Marine Plan interactive web map and Marine Scotland Information to assist with the public consultation on the proposal to designate a suite of proposed Special Protection Areas (pSPAs). 


The aim is to protect some of Britain's most important coastal and offshore waters for marine birds.  Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH), the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) and Natural England (NE) are carrying out this consultation on behalf of Scottish and UK Governments.
