Marine Planning Partnerships

What is it:

Marine Planning Partnerships (MPPs) are established by Ministerial direction to implement regional marine planning as provided for by the Marine (Scotland) Act 2010. The boundaries of the MPPs are set out in The Scottish Marine Regions Order 2015.

The 11 areas where MPPs can be established are shown in the MS MS Maps layer 'Limits and Boundaries - Scottish Marine Regions Order 2015 (SMRs)'. The MS Maps layer 'Marine Planning Partnerships' shows where MPPs have been established to date:

  1. Shetland - 2016
  2. Clyde - 2017
