Oil Spill Contingency and Casualties

Human activity on the seas can result in the spillage of oils and chemicals from either shipping or hydrocarbon exploration and exploitation. Vessels may also run into difficulty resulting in casualties and the need for Search and Rescue (SAR) assistance. Various maps are presented in this section to illustrate these.
