These datasets contain information on mineral resources for the Scottish continental shelf as mapped, on behalf of the Crown Estate, by the British Geological Survey. The data have been inferred from geological data, review of relevant literature and interpretation of boreholes.

From April 2017 the Crown Estate assets in Scotland have been managed by a new body, Crown Estate Scotland.

These resources have not been evaluated on any systematic basis by drilling or by other sampling methods for the purposes of mineral exploration and as such represent areas where geological data supports the presence of an inferred mineral resource. As such the zoom level has been restricted.
