This layer shows the limits of the Isle of Man territorial sea as defined by The Territorial Sea Act 1987 (Isle of Man) Order 1991.

This is a modified version from the UKHO Law of the Sea department data, available via https://www.gov.uk/guidance/inspire-portal-and-medin-bathymetry-data-archive-centre. The data is derived from UK 12nm limit, combined with:

• The Scottish Adjacent Waters Boundary Order 1999 (http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1999/1126/note/made) ,
• The Adjacent Waters Boundaries (Northern Ireland) Order 2002 (http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2002/791/contents/made)  
• The Welsh Zone (Boundaries and Transfer of Functions) Order 2010  (http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2010/760/contents/made)

The Kingfisher Information Service - Offshore Renewable & Cable Awareness project (KIS-ORCA) is a joint initiative between the European Subsea Cables Association (ESCA), Renewable UK and the Kingfisher Information Service of Seafish. KIS-ORCA commenced on 01 January 2012 and supersedes the successful KIS-CA project. KIS-ORCA now includes subsea cables (power and telecommunications) surrounding the UK and, for the first time, UK offshore renewable energy structures, in the form of constructed offshore wind farms.

This layer shows routes of seabed cables for telecommunications and is as zoom restricted. See http://www.kis-orca.eu/ for further details.

Salmon Rivers in Scotland (2008), produced by Scottish Government Marine Scotland Science with information from Fisheries Trusts and other sources. The 2008 digital salmon rivers data was produced from the earlier salmon distribution map (Gardiner and Egglishaw, 1986) along with new information from Fisheries Trusts and other sources. The collated data were coded on to Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (CEH) 1:50,000 digital rivers data. Gardiner, R. and Egglishaw, H. (1986).
