DIO accepts no liability for any error or omission in the Data, or for any loss, damage, claims, proceedings or costs arising from the recipient’s use of or reliance on the Data or from any modification or alteration to the Data or its format, to the full extent permitted by law. DIO accepts no liability for or arising from any elements of DIO furnished Data provided by third parties.
You must not modify, alter, decompile, reverse engineer, or disassemble the Data beyond that which is necessary to allow the use of the Data within your system. You must not sub-license, lend, sell, lease, assign, transfer or otherwise dispose of the Data or this licence unless instructed to do so by DIO. However if another contractor is employed to work on this project the data may be passed to them for the purpose specified above only and they must also abide by the terms in this licence. In the case of the project you have been supplied the Data for, finishing, the Data must be removed from your systems.
The Ministry of Defence uses Scotland's coasts and seas. The coasts are mainly used for training and locating bases (sites vary from dockyards and airfields to coastal firing ranges). The data was provided by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO).
