Distribution of noise activity type per Block for 2015-2017 (time-aware) |
The UK Marine Noise Registry (MNR) is a database that records the spatial and temporal distribution of loud, low to medium frequency (10Hz – 10kHz) impulsive noise generating activities in UK seas. This layer shows the distribution in oil and gas blocks of each activity type recorded per year for 2015-2017 for Scotland's seas, extracted from the MNR. This layer is timeaware on MS Maps NMPi and is intended to be updated yearly. |
Seaweed - Licence areas - Crown Estate Scotland |
‘Lease/Lease Agreement’ is a legal agreement from Crown Estate Scotland whereby an area of foreshore or seabed is occupied by a third party (a 'tenant') for an agreed purpose, such as fish farming, and which gives consent for the tenant to develop the fish farm on the lease site(s), if other required permissions are gained. This layer shows areas where there is a Crown Estate Scotland Lease/Lease Agreement in place for a seaweed harvesting / collecting. |
Normalised annual anomalies of sea surface temperature (°C) up to 2016 (relative to 2000–2010 base period), for Scotland's Long Coastal Temperature time series, by SMR |
The Scottish Ocean Climate Status Report 2016 described the status of the physical conditions in the seas around Scotland in 2016 and examined the variability and trends in the last decade, and further into the past. Figures showing time series of a number of variables were extracted fromthis report and added as tooltips to the the Scottish Marine Regions, the Charting Progress 2 Regional Seas, and four water masses (North Atlantic Water, NAW; Modified North Atlantic Water, MNAW; Fair Isle Current, FIC and Cooled Atlantic Waters, CAW) |
Normalised annual anomalies of monthly total sunshine (hours) up to 2016 (relative to 1981–2010 base period), by SMR |
