OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF)
OpenStreetMap is an initiative to create and provide free geographic data, such as street maps, to anyone. The OpenStreetMap Foundation is an international not-for-profit organization supporting, but not controlling, the OpenStreetMap Project. It is dedicated to encouraging the growth, development and distribution of free geospatial data and to providing geospatial data for anyone to use and share.
OpenStreetMap® is open data, licensed under the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL) by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF).
You are free to copy, distribute, transmit and adapt our data, as long as you credit OpenStreetMap and its contributors. If you alter or build upon our data, you may distribute the result only under the same licence.

There are a choice of nine base layers available on NMPi. These are designed to give locational context to both terrestrial and marine data. This base layer displays Open Street Map. These maps are supplied by a Web Map Tile Service (WMTS) and are maintained by the separate data originators
