Abstract

Seagrass species collected in different parts of the world have been checked for the presence of Labyrinthula spp. Isolations succeeded from all seagrasses studies, indicating a worldwide association between the two groups of organisms. The isolates have been described and compared. Infection experiments have shown that isolates are genus-specific.
