Breeding coastal seabirds (OSCP) - December 2015 (Zoom restricted)

Description

This layer contains a point dataset derived from the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) Seabird 2000 census of breeding seabirds between 2000 and 2003, provided by RS Environmental Ltd for use in oil spill contingency planning. It shows locations where >=80% of  seabirds during breeding season are either auks / shearwaters / petrels; diving birds; gull / terns / skuas; or locations of mixed colonies which have no dominant species during breeding season. The points represent lengths of coastline, approximately 1km or less, with the size of the point related to the number of birds.
