Classified Shellfish Harvesting Areas

What is it: 

Shellfish Harvesting Areas are reviewed annually and given a Classification by the Food Standards Scotland which run from April to March. The layer shows the classification for April 2014 - March 2015 and April 2017 - March 2018.

The data display as a point up to a map scale of 1:200,000 then become polygons.

The Classified Shellfish Harvesting Areas are monitored regularly and the results for biotoxins, phytoplankton and E.coli can be found on the Food Standards Agency and Scotland's Aquaculture web sites.
