Description
Local government in Scotland is organised through 32 unitary authorities designated as Councils which consist of councillors elected every five years by registered voters in each of the council areas. The council areas were created on 1 April 1996, under the provisions of the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994. Dataset derived from Ordnance Survey BoundaryLine.
