Maerl or coarse shell gravel with burrowing sea cucumbers

What is it: 

Maerl or coarse shell gravel with burrowing sea cucumbers habitat is found along the west coast of Scotland and the Outer Hebrides with occasional records for the Northern Isles and the Isle of May on the east coast. The gravel sea cucumber (Neopentadactyla mixta) can be found in high densities within the gravel, maerl, coarse sand mixture along with scallops, brittlestars, crabs and dragonets.
